OS X Yosemite's public beta code redemption causing some issues, but there's an easy fix

OS X Yosemite Beta

On July 24, Apple publicly released the beta for OS X Yosemite, a major overhaul for their desktop operating system. While many downloaded the new software without issue, many users had pronounced issues with their initial beta codes.

Apple released specific codes for those who signed up for the OS X Yosemite beta, which were meant to get redeemed on a site to gain access through the Mac App Store. Unfortunately for some users, that code was apparently not generating at all, preventing them from downloading the test software. For other users, they would try to redeem the code and be prompted with a warning saying that the individual code had already been registered, and blocking access.

There is an easy fix, though, as originally reported by 9to5Mac. You have to make sure that you’re on the OS X Beta portal and signed in. If you are, and the warning is present, just refresh the page. Then, there you go, a new code should be generated without an issue.

Did you download the beta? Did you run into any issues?
