Rooftop Run' now free as Apple's App of the Week

In our Best New Games roundup posted this afternoon, we highlighted the release of the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game to go along with the upcoming movie. Now, Nickelodeon’s older “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run” game has gone free through next Thursday as Apple’s App of the Week. 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run [1] is a top-ranking game in several countries, featuring your favorite ninja turtles in Leo, Donnie, Raphael and Michelangelo in an action-packed combat runner with a vehicle mode. Run, jump, fight and drive through New York City to eradicate the Foot Clan, Kraang, Dimension X and other foes.

You can also unlock the special characters April and Casey Jones, collect energy orbs to unlock exclusive weapons and gear, and use one-touch controls as you perform ninja moves in shell-shocking battles. Activating Turtle Time provides a close up, slow-motion combat sequence, and there are several new in-game challenges to test your skills.
