Emphasize Lets You Change iOS UI Color Scheme For Free

Ryan Petrich, developer of popular jailbreak tweaks such as  ProSwitcher ,  DeepEnd ,  Color Profiles ,  Rotation Inhibitor  etc. has released a new tweak Emphasize that lets you change the color scheme of UI elements in iOS apps.

Emphasize was created following the release of Accentify, a tweak with a similar function, but priced at $0.99 and with certain limitations. In fact in the release notes, Petrich says Emphasize is “How Accentify should have been built.”

Emphasize resides inside the Settings app, letting you set the color scheme for UI controls on a per-app basis. It lets you choose between 15 different colors.

The tweak is great for users who want some control over the look of iOS apps but don’t want to install Winterboard , a much more powerful and fairly complicated themeing tool.

To install Emphasise, you need to add Ryan Petrich’s repo to Cydia using the following URL: http://rpetri.ch/repo/

In case you need help, follow these simple steps:

  • Launch Cydia
  • Tap on the Manage tab at the bottom
  • Then tap on Sources
  • Tap on the Edit button at the top right corner and then tap the Add button
  • Enter the following URL - http://rpetri.ch/repo/ and tap on Add Source button
  • After Petrich’s repo has been successfully added it, tap on Return to Cydia button
  • Tap on the Search tab and search for Emphasise
  • Tap on Emphasise from the search results and tap on Install and then Confirm button to install it

Tell us what you think of the tweak in the comments.
