Duane Reade App For iPhone!

When I go into the city, which is at least a weekly trip, I always make sure to stop in a Duane Reade. For as long as I can remember they are practically on every block of New York City. Even when I lived in Rhode Island and made trips to the city we would inevitably end up at one of their locations whether it be for a quick snack and a drink, a magazine, or a toiletry that we had forgotten. Their store is always fully stocked with just about everything you need while still giving you that local pharmacy feel when you walk in. Want to see more? Check out my Google+ album [3] .
Now, Duane Reade has made shopping even more convenient for iPhone shoppers with their new App. You can download the app from iTunes here [4] . The app is totally free and has everything you need, neat and tidy, and is extremely user friendly. I love apps that make my shopping trips easier. Have you ever tried shopping with a 2 year old. Sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge. Anything to make my trip easy and efficient and I am on board! This app does the trick.

You can see above how clear and easy the app is to use.
- If you click the Pharmacy icon, it gives you the options to refill from your account, refill by scan, refill for a family member, transfer a prescription, view your pharmacy status and history, and even set up text alerts for your prescriptions.
- If you click the Photo icon, your options are to print from your phone, print from Facebook, or create photo products like a card using your Facebook photos.
- Refill by Scan, allows you to quickly scan the barcode on your Duane Reade prescription for easy refill.
- Rewards, Balance Rewards is a free program that gives you extra in store savings, as well as keeping track of your points that you’ve earned from prior purchases to redeem for rewards. If you are already a Walgreens customer you can use the same log-in information for this program.
- Scanner, quickly scan any product while you are shopping for a price check.
- Store locator, click this icon and you will quickly get access to a list of all Duane Reade and Walgreens store in your surrounding area. And, click on the location of your choice and you will find store details like the phone number, store hours, pharmacy hours, services, and store highlights. There is even a map of each store and directions.
