5 Things: Free 'Get Healthy' iPhone App

1. Starbucks Launches Reusable Cups: For $1 you can buy a reusable plastic cup for your Starbucks [1] fix. It's the company's way of conserving paper and getting you in the habit if BYOCC â€" bringing your own coffee cup. What's your opinion on this one?

2. Special Board of Aldermen Tonight: Tune in on TV, online [2] or stop by City Hall for tonight's 7 p.m. joint Aldermen/Board of Public Works meeting [3] to look at bridge design for the Broad Street Parkway project.

3. Facebook Tip of the Day: There's a new way to keep abreast of what's happening on the Nashua Patch Facebook page (and other business pages like this one): If you visit this page and hover over the "Liked" button, you will get a drop-down menu with a "Get Notifications" option. If you click that, you will now receive a notification (like you do when friends post certain Facebook content) when we update our page. Facebook algorithms make it so a lot of our content probably doesn't show up in your newsfeed, so if you want to keep well connected with Patch (or the police department, public works, library, etc and so on), this would be a great option for you.

4. Get Healthy App: Check out the My Healthy Habits iPhone app [4] , a free app from Indiana University designed to help people set health goals and stick to them. Users can create a personal program by choosing from a list of healthy behaviors within the app, like  eating fruits and vegetables, getting more sleep, and exercise. My Healthy Habits also lets you add your own healthy habits to the program, so if shoe showing is your way of burning off steam, it can be counted within the app.

5. Go Fish at the Nashua Public Library: Thursday night fishing lectures are back at the library, [5] starting tonight at 7 p.m.
