iPhone owners on Orange can now get free HD-quality calls over VoIP, care of a new app.
Dubbed Libon, the free-to-download application enables Orange customers to make as many calls as they like to fellow-Libon users for gratis. Free text messages and free visual voicemail are also up for grabs.
Alternatively, customers can opt to pay £2.99 per month for the Libon Premium service, which affords takers unlimited calls to whoever they like, as well as 60 minutes of calls per month to landlines and mobiles in 30 countries.
Less of a boon for cost-conscious callers is the option Libon provides to set customised greetings for voicemail callers. But it’s still pretty welcome all the same.
The app is compatible with iDevices running iOS 4 or above, but is optimised for the iPhone 5. An Android version is expected to land early next year.
