“There has been a lot of speculation about the prices of the steel Apple Watches as well as the gold models. In regard to the latter (Apple Watch Edition pieces), I would like to confirm that they are in fact produced from solid 18k gold and use a unique manufacturing technique selected by Apple that improves the hardness of gold. According to Apple, the extra hardness is thanks to a special gold alloy, but they didn’t go into more detail,” Adams reports. “At this point, I would be surprised if the Apple Watch Edition was priced at over $5,000, but also surprised if it was priced at under $1,500 or $2,000.”

“While an iPhone can live without an Apple Watch, all Apple Watches must have a host iPhone,” Adams reports. “A good example is during exercise. Apple indicated to me that you don’t need to take your phone around with you while you exercise, unless you require GPS functions. The Apple Watch can store some media, such as songs, independently on the device (the internal storage of the Apple Watch has yet to be announced), and it can track a lot of exercise and movement data without being connected to an iPhone. Once paired again, the Apple Watch shares data with the host apps on the phone.”

“Apple Watch users will install an Apple Watch app on their iPhone, which will be used to download apps onto the watch as well as likely manage Apple Watch settings. A user’s iPhone is also used to help with computational demands,” Adams reports. “Apple cleverly pushes a lot of processor needs to the phone in order to preserve Apple Watch battery life. Thus, the Apple Watch is snappier, with longer battery life because a lot of tasks can be off-loaded to the host phone. Having said that, aside from installing apps, most things can be done from the watch itself (such as adjust settings, customize the interface, select watch dials, switch apps, etc…)”

Cuddlr [3] is "a location-based social-meeting app for cuddling," according to its website. Now you can find people nearby who are cuddle curious.

Working much like other social GPS-based apps, Cuddlr finds people who want a hug within walking distance and shows their name, picture and cuddle reviews. Make contact with your cuddling partner, then see real-time walking directions to get to each other.

If the cuddle is up to your standards, give a thumbs-up. If it's a bit too intense or sexual, you can report the user. The app even allows for cuddle selfies.

For those skeptics who might think Cuddlr could double as a serial killer candy store, the website claims to have certain safety measures in place.

Popcorn Time iPhone Download Now Available For Free

Movie and TV show pirates, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for: Popcorn Time is finally available for the iPhone , iPad and iPod touch. Of course, there’s a catch… you’ll need a jailbroken device in order to access and install it.

Popcorn Time started as a desktop app that offered a unique twist on video torrents. Instead of using one piece of software to find torrent files, another to download them and a third to watch whatever movie or TV show was downloaded, Popcorn Time offered users a sleek Netflix-style app that was able to search, download and view videos all in one tidy package.

Then, Popcorn Time went mobile this past summer with a great Android app that took all of the features users loved in the desktop version and shrunk them down to tablet and smartphone size.

Unfortunately, an iOS app proved to be a trickier task to tackle.

Now, however, iOS device owners can finally get in on the action thanks to the release of Popcorn Time for iOS, which is available immediately for jailbroken devices and can be downloaded by adding Popcorn Time’s dedicated repository to Cydia [1] . Of note, the developers behind Popcorn Time confirmed to BGR that they are working on a solution for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch handhelds that will not require a jailbreak. No other details are available at this time, but it is likely safe to assume that we’re looking at a browser-based solution, since there is no way Apple would ever approve a Popcorn Time iOS app for distribution in the App Store.
