Jack Holder and Governor Rick Perry join theCHIVE Podcast today : theCHIVE

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to actually sink a German sub?

Or looking into the face of the Japanese pilot who dropped the very first bomb on Pearl Harbor?

Can you imagine flying just above Admiral Yamamoto’s plane as a dozen American P38’s intercepted his convoy and blew the Admiral’s plane into the Pacific, forever changing the course of the war?

Today one of the greatest living pilots from WWII is on theCHIVE Podcast [1] , Jack Holder. To say what you’re about to hear will fill you with a sense of pride is an understatement. You have to hear these stories to believe them.

Jack Holder and I have been friends since Chive Charities took 16 veterans to Pearl Harbor last year. A Texas native he’d always wanted to meet Gov. Rick Perry and we somehow pulled it off. The Governor joins us on the podcast with Jack Holder today.

The podcast is all WWII, zero politics, so enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime history lesson from a man who fought his way across the Pacific and Europe.

Plus, if you’re interested in reading Jack Holder’s new book Adrenaline, Excitement and Fear: A WWII Naval Aviation Story, it is available RIGHT HERE [5] or you can get it on Kindle HERE [6] . It’s a fascinating read that not only tells Jack’s story of how he managed to fight and survive countless missions in both Pacific and English theaters of war, but it’s also a great history lesson told by a man who lived through it all.

And if you have questions for John and myself to read on the Podcast, please send them our way to podcastquestions@thechive.com
