We're delighted to announce the release of our updated iPhone app: Sage CRM for iPhone. This replaces our original app (Sage CRM Sales Lite), and this has lots of new features and enhancements as requested by you.

What can Sage CRM for iPhone do?

* For On-Premise customers only - Sage CRM Professional customers will automatically get access to this new feature in the next release, due in Spring 2015.

How can I get it?

The app can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store. If you are a Sage CRM Cloud customer, there are no additional steps required. If you are an On-Premise customer, your Sage CRM administrator will need to install a component, available free of charge from our marketplace to enable the app to work, and you must be using Sage CRM 7.2 or later. It will automatically work for Sage CRM Cloud customers. Your phone must be running iOS 7 or later.

If you have already installed Sage CRM for Sales Lite, then you will be prompted to download the update when you open the App Store app on your iPhone - your Sage CRM administrator will need to install the latest version of the component (On-Premise customers only).

More details please!

New interface

Flat is the new black! The app has been completely redesigned to bring it in-line with the latest iOS look & feel.

The navigation has been moved from the bottom of the screen to a pull-out menu, available on every screen.

A range of bright colours are used throughout the app to help you easily identify different types of records at a glance.

Custom Fields for Person and Opportunity records

This was a very popular request, so we're really happy to have included this feature in the new version of the app.

Your Sage CRM administrator must configure the custom screens for Person and/or Opportunity records to add the fields that will be available in the app. Simply browse to Administration | Customisation | Person / Opportunity and choose to edit the PersonMobileExtra / OpportunityMobileExtra screen. Add the new fields and click Save.

After this is done, an icon is displayed on the the Person and Opportunity Summary screens. Tap it to open a screen displaying the custom fields.

Improved Calendar

Your Sage CRM Calendar is now displayed in a journal view, so you can easily see your schedule.

Tapping one of these appointments or tasks will bring you to a summary screen where you can see more information about the calendar item.

You can still set or clear a reminder on your iPhone by tapping the icon in the top right of the screen.

Creating new tasks & appointments

We have added the ability to add new Sage CRM tasks and appointments in Sage CRM for iPhone - simply tap the plus icon in the top right of the calendar screen, select whether you're adding a task or appointment and enter the rest of the details.

Importing a contact from your iPhone's contacts

You can now choose to import a contact from your phone into Sage CRM as a Lead, or as a Person and Company record. When you tap the Add to CRM button, choose which record type that the contact will be imported as.

Is there any more documentation?

You can access the documentation directly in the app by tapping Help in the main menu.

As always, your feedback is welcome - please add any comments or suggestions in our dedicated mobile community forum .
