Georgia Football: Former Dawg Tray Matthews is Already an Auburn Hero

We all know what happened in the waning moments of the Georgia/Auburn game last November.  There’s no need to re-live it as fans, writers or people.

I would think that Tray Matthews, despite his new allegiance to the Auburn “family” would be over that play as well.  Apparently, he’s not.

Auburn fans somehow saw the game as cause for celebrating the new Tiger transfer, which is ironic because again we all know what happened in the waning moments of the Georgia/Auburn game last November.  They expressed their excitement about Matthews’ arrival on Twitter and he did us the courtesy of retweeting them for ease:

To be fair, Matthews is a talented player.  To be fair, he made a lot of tackles in that game.  But to be equally judicious, Auburn scored 43 points in the game and Georgia fans didn’t bat an eye because the Bulldogs’ defense (led by the likes of Matthews) was so consistently atrocious that giving up 43 points was as commonplace as milk on cereal.  And sure Josh Harvey-Clemons may have interfered with a potential Matthews’ interception as Auburn Gus-balled its way to a freak win, but we all know what happened in the waning moments of the Georgia/Auburn game last November.

That’s all I got/

Andrew
