Enemy Unknown updated with new multiplayer mode, goes half price

If you’re amongst the iOS gamers that thought XCOM: Enemy Unknown looked awesome when it hit earlier this year, but was way too expensive, we’ve got some great news for you: it’s 50% off right now.

That’s right, alongside a 1.3 update that adds asynchronous multiplayer, full Game Center support and other new features, the popular strategy-action game has been discounted down from $19.99 to $9.99…

Here’s the full change log for version 1.3:

The game recently named Editor’s Choice now features asynchronous multiplayer! Create your own custom squad with alien and human troops, then challenge your friends through Game Center. Climb the leaderboards as you battle for XCOM supremacy!

Update Features:
- Asynchronous multiplayer
- iOS7 optimization
- Multiplayer leaderboards
- General bug fixes

XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which was developed by Fireaxis and published by 2K Games, is a direct port of the popular PC/console game that has been redesigned for all-touch gameplay on mobile devices.

At $10, it’ll still count as one of the more expensive iOS games on the market. But at 50% off, we’re considering this a good dealâ€"especially since the game at $20 enjoyed a 4.5 star rating on the App Store.

If you’re interested, you can find XCOM: Enemy Unknown in the App Store [1] (for both the iPhone and the iPad) for the limited-time price of $9.99.
