Tampa Bay, Florida â€" The team over at evertap, in conjunction with Donation Downloads, is on a roll helping students and teachers with funding their projects through the Donors Choose website. Donors Choose is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on our site, and you can give any amount to the project that most inspires you.
“It’s a great way for us to give back to the community,†says Ryan Wade the CEO of evertap, “We’re here to make great games and we’re going to promote them anyways â€" why not find a way to give back at the same time?â€
Through October 8th, evertap will be donating one penny ($0.01 USD) to the charity and helping fund projects for each download they get of their new hit game Bike Games. So far, since their launch on October 2nd, evertap and their fans have helped donate $97 dollars to Donors Choose and help fund three projects.
The projects that have been completely funded are:
* A Healthy Body Helps us Grow our Brains! â€" Helping first graders learn about healthy habits on food and nutrition.
* Yoga and Brain-Based Learning in the Classroom â€" Helping students buy yoga mats for their weekly yoga sessions.
* Light Us Up! We’re on Fire! â€" Helping a needy school in the high poverty area of Philadelphia, PA buy a new lightbulb for their projector.
