Gamblino is launching its innovative new mobile app that brings the thrill of sports betting to the iPhone in a social, fun, and risk-free way. The social sports gaming company is premiering its signature product, a mobile application that enables users to place sports wagers and win real prizes without any of the risks typically associated with sports betting.
The Gamblino app gives its users the ability to connect with friends and social networks, as well as local sports bars and leading national brands by participating in free sports-wagering contests to win prizes ranging from a bucket of beers to all-inclusive packages to the countrys biggest sporting events.
We built Gamblino because there was no viable application out there that allowed friends to place and track friendly bets with each other, said Frank Wilson, co-Founder of Gamblino. We thought if we could turn a normal bet between friends into a multi-faceted contest that engages various communities and networks, we could make sports betting much more social as well as accessible and fun for everybody.
The apps simple, intuitive interface allows users to place basic wages on live games with betting lines updated in real time from top sports books. Bets are placed using Gamblinos unique point system not real money and accumulating these points provides users the opportunity to win great prizes. The social components of the Gamblino platform will bring its players together at local sports bars, creating a vibrant atmosphere where anyone from friends to total strangers can compete for that coveted top rank and the prize that follows. Watching sports has never been this fun.
After approaching several bars with the concept for the app, we were thrilled to find they were as enthusiastic about the idea as we were, said Wilson. Providing the excitement of betting, with scores and lines updated in real time, and the ability to win great prizes right in your favorite bar really enhances the game-watching experience.
How It Works
Beginning Saturdays in December, weekly Gamblino contests are running at select bars during NCAA and NFL football games in New York City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. Upon downloading the app on an iPhone, users will be connected to their local network of bars and nearby contests. After joining a contest, Gamblino users are rewarded with 1,000 free wagering points, which they can use to bet on that days action, attempting to turn their starting points into the biggest stack at the bar and claim the daily prizes. In addition to running localized contests, Gamblino users will also be eligible to participate in app-wide contests with alluring big-ticket prizes, such as all-inclusive tickets to the Super Bowl.
We made this app as user-friendly as possible, so anyone, from the die-hard sports fan to someone who just happens to be at the bar during a game, can enjoy it, Wilson said. And from the most experienced gambler to someone thats never placed a bet in their life, Gamblino makes watching every game so much more fun.
The Gamblino app is in development on additional platforms and plans to expand to include other professional and collegiate leagues. To get started, download the Gamblino app on your iPhone and join one of our national or local contests. To join a local contest, stop by one of their partner bars in NYC, Chicago, Washington D.C.
