Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a newspaper style weather app, retro platformer, interesting puzzle game, and photo effects app. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
Daily Weather+ ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone) [ Review ]: The app provides a newspaper feel for the current conditions which include current temp, highs and lows of the day, humidity, and wind speed. The top of the page provides an image to depict the current conditions ranging from full sun to storming.
Bean’s Quest ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A retro inspired platformer with updated beautiful artwork. The game features five worlds, 50 levels, iCloud support, Game Center, and all of the classic platformer elements you know, and love. There’s also brand new physics based obstacles as well.
KooZac ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): A puzzle game from Square Enix that combines Tetris and Sudoku. New numbered blocks fall in from above, and your goal is to align them vertically to add up to the target number. There are three different game modes with puzzle, endless, and blitz for tons of KooZac action to enjoy.
MobileMonet ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone): A photo effects app that turns your photos into artistic renderings in a streamlined fashion. The app gives you a black and white version of any photo you select, and then you can paint with your finger as the brush. It’s your choice of how heavy you want paint to define certain areas, and the whole process is up to you.
