Real Racing 2 Moves Up To The iPhone 5 And New iPod Touch Ranks

We haven’t seen a lot of updates for Real Racing 2 in 2012. In fact, only the iPad Retina display optimization [1] of Real Racing 2 HD [2] in March and a fine tuning update [3] shortly after. However, there hasn’t been a lot that the Firemonkeys need to add to the already widely acclaimed racing game [4] , except optimization for the 4-inch Retina display.

Solely released for iPhone 5 and fifth generation iPod touch owners, Real Racing 2 v1.13.02 extends the beautifully rendered driving experience to the very edges (of the latest iDevice screen, that is). Now, you can capture a little more of course, that car passing alongside, and scenery.

Obviously, this doesn’t convert Real Racing 2 into Real Racing 3 [5] , but I doubt anyone is complaining.

So, grab your iPhone or iPod touch, download the free update, and maybe even enhance the holiday get-togethers with a few (dozen) Party Play [6] matches.

Real Racing 2 [7] is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store for $0.99.
