The findings in a recent research have revealed that 20% of people never apply sun cream, despite being aware that harmful radiations emitted by sun can ultimately lead up to skin cancer; UV radiations are very harmful for skin. These sun creams can help block the penetration of the rays into the skin.
The study conducted for Solaveil discovered that out of the total people, who find wearing sun cream is unnecessary; men have grabbed the majority of the proportion. It has been unveiled that men are twice in number than figures obtained of women.
A survey was conducted as a part of the study, which included 1,000 teens and young adults aged between 18 and 24.
Reports suggest that out of the total, 15% of British men admitted that for them applying sun screen was not important; there was no use of it.
Coming across the conclusions of the study, Nicola Daniels, from the Solaveil sun care team, said: "Our research clearly shows strong gender and age divides when it comes to sun care in the UK. Men are far less likely to follow sun care guidelinesâ€.
Hence, the company declared that they have introduced a new and free of cost iPhone app that will warn these people when to use a sun screen.
