Lonely Planet Offers Free Mexico City Travel Guide App for Cinco de Mayo

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Lonely Planet is offering its Mexico City Travel Guide app for the iPhone/iPod touch for free, compliments of the Mexico Tourism Board.

Users can simply download the Lonely Planet Travel Guides [1] app from the App Store on their iPhone/iPod touch or through iTunes [2] , and can then access the free Mexico City Travel Guide, which is usually priced at $5.99.

The Mexico City Travel guide app works completely offline, with no data or roaming charges. It contains hundreds of points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, and sights with easy-to-use maps that pinpoint your location. The Mexico City Travel guide app is just one of Lonely Planet’s 150 apps which include country guides, city guides, audio phrasebooks, translators, and walking tours.

The free Mexico City Travel guide app begins now and runs until May 10th, 2012 at 2pmEDT.
