Loopy Fruit Race is a hoot; no seriously it’s a little slice of apple! I certainly haven’t seen anything quite like this in the App Store before and I’m really glad I gave it a shot. If you love fruit and you love races then this is the perfect married couple. How fast can you get your fruit to the finish line? Do you have what it takes to beat your component?
When you first load up this game you’ll be presented with a screen full of options. Here you can choose your character and check out the gamecenter. You can also tell a friend, visit the support section, get instructions and check out your stats but most importantly this is where the game starts so start your feet and get ready for some action.
There are quite a few characters to choose from but to start they are locked. You’re green apple for a while so settle in and get ready for some racing enjoyment. The gameplay is pretty easy. You have an up and a down, a kick button a spring and a forward button. The forward button is used to get you down the track but there are obstacles in your way that you’ll need to jump over including a few potholes. The spring is going to be your friend here.
It seems pretty easy; the race starts, you take off and you are trying hard to take down your opponent but to be honest it’s not as easy as you’d think! That other piece of fruit has some pretty fast legs and for me it was hard to catch up at least the first few races. You never know who your opponent will be and sometimes you’ll be faced with the same fruit as yourself and trust me; no one fruit has an advantage over the other. Should you get side tracked or just need a breather you can pause the game which I find myself doing often since I’m pretty horrible at the game!
Another great feature is that it’s great for all ages, especially the little ones. It’s not too hard to grasp and it’s fun and entertaining. Just make sure that you’re not passing your phone over to the little ones without knowing the time since it’s highly addictive and you could be at it for quite some time. You know the saying, time flies when you’re having fun? That’s certainly true with this one and regardless of your abilities you’ll be addicted in no time.
So, to wrap up the review, I really like this one. It’s a very cute game for little ones and adults alike and the concept is easy to follow. It seems really easy to play at first glance but once you get going you’ll notice that it’s not as easy as it looks but it’s something you can pick up after a few races. If you’re not sure how to play you can always view the instructions on the main menu page. Here you’ll be given detailed instructions on how to get your fruit down the track and beat your opponent. Overall, I’m very glad I downloaded this one and I can’t wait to tell my friends and family about it.
