Cuddle phone - Travel - MiamiHerald.com

Let’s face it, iPhones are very skillful, but warm and fuzzy they’re not. Unless the phone is housed in a Woogie 2, and then it gets positively cuddly â€" and a personality. The Woogie 2 is a stuffed fleece toy with five weighted floppy legs that let it “sit” upright. Download the free Woogie App for IOS from the iTunes Store, slip an iPhone (or iPod Touch) into the see-through pocket on the front, activate the Woogie App through the interactive clear plastic window, and suddenly the iPhone has a face (there are 10 blinking, winking expressions from which to choose). Tickle the window and the phone (I mean Woogie) giggles; shake it and the eyes go dizzy; say something and it parrots you in a Chipmunky voice. If you leave it alone, the eyes close and it starts snoring (the sound can be disabled, or plug in headphones â€" not included). Of course, the phone still performs all its other functions. The Woogie 2 is designed as a protective, kid-friendly case and toy, but I’ve grown kind of fond of my test sample â€" snoring and all.

Woogie 2 is $19.99 at www.store.griffintechnology.com; 800-208-5996. Woogie App for IOS is free at the iTunes App Store.
