‘Portal’ Clone For iOS Gets Massive Update, Download Now

There are a few console games that we would love to see come to iOS, one of which is Portal.  Although it’s very unlikely that we’ll see the award-winning puzzle adventure game hit the App Store any time soon, we can count on at least one developer to clone it.

That’s what Jeremy Slavitz has done with his app called Wormholes.  When it released in July 2011, it was the most basic clone ever.  The graphics were terrible and the levels were limited â€" but the portals worked.  In fact, it was so closely related to Portal that Valve asked him to make the game free.

Today, the developer released a massive update for the game.  It features improved graphics, double the number of levels, seamless wormholes, new game elements, auto-save and bug fixes.

The update also drops support for older devices, so only the iPhone 4/iPod touch 4th gen and newer are able to play the game.  Wormholes is available for free and is definitely worth a try.
