Liftopia launches new Apple app

Posted by Eric Wilbur, Boston.com Staff  December 15, 2011 11:32 AM

Liftopia, the San Francisco-based discount lift ticket website, launched a new app today for iPhone, iPod Touch, and IPad users. The long-winded "Liftopia Ski Reports, Snow Conditions and Ultimate Lift Ticket Deal Engine" promises "thousands of lift ticket deals in the palm of your hand."

Skiers and snowboarders can launch the app and find lift ticket deals based on their location via GPS, or just like online, they can search for deals on a specific date.

Liftopia currently offers more than 75,000 deals at more than 150 ski areas, including dozens in New England. The app is free. Grab it here.
