Inbox launched in the tail-end of 2014, but it wasnât available for everyone right out of the gate. Google implemented an invite system, which came and went repeatedly, but now the wait is over for anyone that wasnât able to gain access.
Today, Google took the stage at its I/O 2015 conference, and during the show the Gmail blog took it upon itself to officially announce that the Inbox by Gmail iOS app is now available for everyone, no invite required. That should be good news for those that are looking for a new email app, especially considering Inbox recently picked up iPad support not too long ago.
On top of that, the app also added some new features, which should make using it even better. That includes the ability to add Signatures to email accounts, Swipe to Delete, and even the ability to recall a sent email if itâs sent by accident.
Another new feature included is âTrip Bundles,â which will allow Inbox to automatically bundle any emails regarding a trip or destination, and have them easily accessible in one place within the app.
Here are the other new features included for good measure:
- When you create Reminders in Keep, theyâll now appear in Inbox
- When someone emails you a to-do, Inbox might suggest adding a Reminder so you donât forget
- When you get an email from HotelTonight or Eat24, you can now open your reservations and food orders within their app, directly from Inbox
The app is available now, for free, and a link to download it is available below. Have you tried it out yet?
