How to Watch Kentucky Derby 2015 Live Stream Free

Saturday is a big day for sporting events: We’ve got the NFL Draft’s final day, the much-hypedManny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight, and the Kentucky Derby.

For those interested in watching the boxing match, click here for key details you need to know about viewing it. And for those looking to catch the derby, see below for info on watching this classic American event:

What Time Does the Race Begin?

The Kentucky Derby will start at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 2nd. Network coverage will begin at noon E.T., with several hours of previews and commentary. The race is held at the Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Where Can I Watch the Race on TV?

The race and the pre-event commentary will air on NBC, beginning at noon ET. It will also be available on the NBC Sports Live Extra app available on the iPhone, iPad, and Android. You will need a cable or satellite subscription to view the Derby online through NBC Sports [1] . After you sign in you can stream the 2015 Kentucky Derby to your iPhone, iPad or Android or your web browser online. Download and link the app to your cable account before the race.

Can I Watch It for Free Online?

Yes, but there’s a catch: As mentioned just above, you need a cable subscription and login to access. But if you somehow don’t have any cable subscription, you can even access NBC through your television with a digital antenna or basic cable package. Also: pretty much every sports bar in your neighborhood will have NBC on the TV during the event. Just make sure you wear colorful clothing and order lots of mint juleps.

BTW: Here’s a helpful guide [2] to the ins and outs of the Derby. Enjoy!
