How to un-mirror the iPhone’s front facing camera

Front Cam Un-Mirror Featured

The front facing camera on your iPhone produces a mirrored image so that what you see on the screen matches your face. But did you know that it’s possible to un-mirror the image?

It’s possible by means of a recently released jailbreak tweak that’s aptly entitled Front Cam Un-Mirror. The release is not available on Cydia’s public repos, but we’ve got the repo address for you to try inside. Have a look at our video to see how this simple jailbreak tweak works in action.

Front Cam Un-Mirror places a button in the upper left-hand corner of the front facing camera interface. Tapping the button allows you to quickly un-mirror or mirror the front facing camera.

I found that the button’s design made it difficult to register my touches, but other than that, it worked fairly well. There are no options or settings to configure, just add the repo to Cydia and install for free.

You’ll need to add the following repo to your Cydia sources to use Front Cam Un-Mirror: http://cydia.myrepospace.com/sticktron/

If you decide to give it a try, don’t forget to share what your opinions are about the tweak down in the comments section.
