NEW YORK, NY, Jun 28, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- ooVoo, the largest social video-chat provider, today announced that it is featured in a new Verizon Wireless initiative that makes it easier to discover and start video chatting on mobile devices. Verizon Wireless customers can now access ooVoo's free group video chat and integrated instant messaging from a video calling icon on their 4G LTE DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola handsets. The new icon on these popular devices is provided as part of Verizon's ongoing Ice Cream Sandwich software upgrade.
"Verizon Wireless 4G LTE and ooVoo are a perfect marriage of social and communications," said ooVoo CEO, Yuval Baharav. "The combined power of ooVoo and 4G LTE lets people share more of their lives, with more of their friends, together in real time," added Baharav.
ooVoo multi-party chat is already enjoyed by millions of users across America, sharing and celebrating the big and small moments of their daily lives. Thanks to Verizon's 4G LTE network and devices, ooVoo's always on, always-connected social chat will be discovered by even more mobile customers.
Verizon Wireless customers using Ice Cream Sandwich on the Razr or Razr Maxx by Motorola can simply tap the "Video Calling" icon and select ooVoo to download the application. In addition to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, ooVoo also works over 3G and Wi-Fi, and on Android and iOS operating systems.
