MirrorFootball.co.uk was launched in August 2009 to become the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror’s specialist football site.
As well as providing a 24/7 news service and a wealth of exclusive daily opinion pieces from some of the best writers and names in the game (Mark Lawrenson, Robbie Savage, Oliver Holt, Martin Lipton), the site also utilizes the Daily Mirror’s history and heritage – not to mention over 100 years’ worth of amazing photography – to put together unique archive articles on a whole host of football legends.
Mirror Football is the first national newspaper sports desk on the web, with reporters filing live from matches and press conferences, breaking exclusive stories online first, joining the football debate via blogs and Twitter and providing video and audio previews and reports from big domestic, European and international matches.
