RICHMOND, Va. — The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is offering a new smartphone application that will help fishermen identify their catch or locate nearby boat ramps or recreation areas.
The free Hunt Fish VA mobile application announced Friday is for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The app also provides the department's latest news, hunting regulations and bag limits while in the field, and state record fish.
Game and Inland Fisheries' director, Bob Duncan, said the app allows the department to communicate with those with a passion for outdoor activities.
