Yesterday, President Obama traveled to Alaska in order to spotlight the fact that climate change is one of the biggest threats we face as a nation, and to emphasize the fact that it is being driven by human activity. This trip also comes right after his administration proposed measures to cut carbon emissions from our Nationâs energy sector, but according to some activist his environmental rhetoric falls flat when compared with his mixed record on climate. Joining me today to discuss the Presidentâs Alaskan trip and why some activist are calling the President a hypocrite [1] when it comes to action on climate change is Eric Holthaus [2] a meteorologist who writes about weather and climate for Slateâs Future Tense [3] [4] blog. You can also follow Eric on twitter [5] .
