Apple today announced that it is bringing Apple Music, iTunes Movies, and iBooks to its customers in China.

Apple Music in China will feature songs from artists like Eason Chan, Li Ronghao, JJ Lin, and G.E.M. iTunes Movies will also feature movies from popular Chinese studios as well.

“Customers in China love the App Store and have made it our largest market in the world for app downloads,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “One of the top requests has been more great content and we’re thrilled to bring music, movies and books to China, curated by a local team of experts.”

To celebrate the launch of iTunes Movies in the country, Apple will be giving away “The Taking of Tiger Mountain” as a free download for all customers in China for a limited time.

Apple Music will be available as a free 3-month trial for customers in China starting from today. After the trial period, a subscription fees of 10 RMB/month will be applicable. The pricing of the family plan for up to six members is 15 RMB/month.

Prices for movies on iTunes will start from 5RMB for rental in HD and 18 RMB to purchase new releases.

China has become a key market for Apple over the last one year, so it is not surprising to see the company bring more of its services to the country.
