QuartzSettings lets you customize the Settings app in iOS 8

QuartzSettings - Settings panel

One of the main reasons to jailbreak your iOS device is to customize it the way you want. QuartzSettings is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to customize the look of the Settings app.

The tweak automatically customizes the appearance of the Settings app based on your Home screen wallpaper. It also provides three different themes which you can choose from to change the look of Settings interface.

Once you install QuartzSettings, you can get started by heading to the tweak’s preferences pane in Settings. There, you will find three options labeled Enable, Themes and Preview.

The Enable option allows you to toggle on or off the tweak and remove any customizations made to Settings. The Preview button provides a preview of how the three different themes look like.

The last option is Themes where you will find all the built-in themes that come with the tweak. After opening it, you will find the three themes labeled Black Panther, Panda and SkyView. Below each of them, an Enable and a Preview button is available.

To apply any one of the themes, simply press the Enable button. No respring is required to apply the theme. All you have to do is to close Settings from the App Switcher and launch it again to view the new look of Settings

If you disable all the themes, the default Quartz theme will be used which customizes the Settings interface based on the Home screen background

What’s more interesting is that the tweak also supports custom themes allowing designers to create new themes for QuartzSettings and provide them as a separate package to be installed from Cydia.

QuartzSettings is definitely worth the try if you’re fond of customizing your iOS device. If you’re in to give it a try, the tweak can be download for free via Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
