Pixelmator , the image editor for Mac and iPad, has made its way to the iPhone. A universal app, Pixelmator puts desktop-class image editing in your pocket. The app also adds new features with this update, including new distort tools built with Apple's Metal graphics framework.

Check out the major changes to Pixelmator in the list below:

  • Pixelmator is now available for iPhone.
  • Metal-powered Distort tools allow you to pinch, bump, twirl, and warp areas of your images.
  • The Clone tool lets you duplicate areas of your image.
  • The new Repair Selection feature instantly repairs selected areas.

Pixelmator has also added more pre-designed shapes and text styles, layer templates, and more. You can purchase the app now on the App Store, and Pixelmator for iPad owners can grab it for free.
