Google announced a number of updates to its Cardboard virtual reality program, a big one of them being new support for the iPhone.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users can now take advantage of Google's virtual reality units, Google Cardboard , thanks to a large platform update that Google unveiled today. Earlier, Google announced iPhone support [1] at its developer conference, Google I/O [2] along with a variety of other improvements. Some of the other improvements Cardboard gained was support for larger devices, up to six-inches , along with an updated software development kit.
While you will need to get your hands on a Google Cardboard unit to get the full experience, you can check out some of the app without it. The app is available in the App Store now as a free download.
