This is the second post in a series of articles that will show you how to gain more space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. If you havenât read part one, be sure to start here .
If you have a lot of photos and videos, one of the easiest ways to gain more space is to take these off of your phone and store them somewhere else. There are a lot of places that you can keep them other than your phone.
Move Photos and Videos to your Computer:
Download the photos to your computer and keep them in folders or in your favorite photo organizer.

Remember, to actually gain more space on your phone, youâll need to delete the photos from your phone after you have them safely transferred to your computer.
Move Photos and Videos to an App:
You can skip the computer and upload your photos directly to the web using an app. After youâve uploaded your photos with the app, visit the site or the app to make sure theyâre actually uploaded, and then delete them from your phone.
My personal favorite way to upload photos from my iPhone is to use the Google + app. Google will give you 15 GB of free storage space. When you use the app to back up your camera roll, the photos and videos that are uploaded at standard size will not count against this quota. Take a look at Googleâs help page [2] to learn exactly how to set it up and what sizes of photos and videos you can upload for free. I leave the auto-backup on at all times, so when itâs time to go through my phone and delete photos, I just double-check to make sure theyâve all uploaded and start deleting from my camera roll. If I ever want to view those photos again, I just open the Google + app to find them. If I want to access these photos on my comput er, I visit plus.google.com. By the way, the photos are all private by default. If you want to share them, you have to do that manually.
Take a look at this article [3]  from CNet that compares several other apps that work well for this purpose.  When comparing these apps, some of the features to consider are whether the app uploads a full version of your photos, privacy options, automatic background uploading vs. manual uploading, and the amount of space they offer.
