Every week, Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) selects a paid app from the iOS AppStore and brings it to users for free as part of its "App of the Week" feature.
Some great paid apps have been previously featured as the App of the Week, and we canât deny the joy associated with downloading a paid app for free.
Free app of the day promotions usually include struggling apps that users are not downloading on their own, but Appleâs official App of the Week promotion is quite different in that aspect.
The editors at the App Store hand-pick the app they wish to make available for free download, and so far we have been quite impressed with the quality of the free offerings.
This week, users can navigate to the App Store on their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and in the "Features" section, scroll down and select "App of the Week." Then they can simply tap âGetâ and download the app as they normally would.
This weekâs App of the Week is Brushstroke by Code Organa, a masterfully created app that can convert your iPhone or iPad photos into paintings with a single touch.
The app features a cutting edge design that works seamlessly with iOS 8 and the iPhone 6âs display. We took the app for a test drive and found it to be a smooth and efficient experience.
The app can help users create their own painting masterpieces by allowing them to select from a number of detailed filters and effects that transform a photo to appear in various painting styles and techniques.
