Thanks to mobile apps like Tinder [1] and Grindr [2] , finding a quick and easy way to be intimate with a stranger is a click away. So if GPS-driven sex is a thing, why not nearby hug hookups?

Cuddlr [3] is "a location-based social-meeting app for cuddling," according to its website. Now you can find people nearby who are cuddle curious.

Working much like other social GPS-based apps, Cuddlr finds people who want a hug within walking distance and shows their name, picture and cuddle reviews. Make contact with your cuddling partner, then see real-time walking directions to get to each other.

If the cuddle is up to your standards, give a thumbs-up. If it's a bit too intense or sexual, you can report the user. The app even allows for cuddle selfies.

For those skeptics who might think Cuddlr could double as a serial killer candy store, the website claims to have certain safety measures in place.

"We ban anyone who is consistently using it improperly," the Cuddlr website states. "We don't share your location until you've indicated that you do actually want to cuddle this person, and you can block anyone if you don't want them to even see you on the app."

While the Cuddlr app is free, you must be at least 17 years old to download it.

Currently, the Cuddlr app is only available for iPhone [4] , but has a sign-up notification for when it will be available on Android .
