Back in early of June, T-Mobile USA confirmed that they would be a carrier to support WiFi Calling for their iPhones running iOS 8. For anyone who has been waiting for the feature to show up on devices running iOS 8 , the wait is over â" if youâre running iOS 8 Beta 3, that is.
New things get revealed when Apple seeds out new software, and this is no different. In fact, this is just one of many new features brought to the publicâs attention with third Beta being released. With this latest find, those who are running iOS 8 Beta 3 will be able to access T-Mobileâs WiFi Calling feature, which means they will not have to be connected to the networkâs cellular network to make or receive calls.
Accessing WiFi Calling is easy. Simply head into Settings â"> Phone â"> Wi-Fi Calling. Just toggle the option on, and youâll be able to make calls over your WiFi network. This is a feature thatâs reserved for T-Mobile subscribers, though, so if youâe on another network you wonât be able to access the feature. And, obviously, since this is a beta of iOS 8, itâs not publicly available just yet.
