Funk Volume’s Application Includes News, Streaming Music, And Exclusive Content From The Label’s Roster

Known for having one of the strongest direct-to-fan networks of any independent record label, Los Angeles-based, Funk Volume, has further reinforced the connection to their fan base by releasing a free mobile application for both iPhone and Android phone users. Currently home to rappers Hopsin, SwizZz, Dizzy Wright, and Jarren Benton and more recently, DJ’s and producers Hoppa, Kato, and Rikio, the label has quickly become known as label to watch by fans and industry insiders alike. With nearly 60 million YouTube views, over 400,000 Facebook likes and consistent Top 10 chart placements on Billboard and iTunes, Funk Volume has been cited as a leader among independent rap labels. The mobile application will provide information on the Funk Volume roster, tour dates, news, videos, interviews, music and exclusive content including Funk Volume’s own radio station discounts for their online store.
All of Funk Volume artists have been keeping busy. Jarren Benton recently finished a 78-date tour with Tech N9ne and Freddie Gibbs and was included in XXL Magazine’s 2014 Freshmen class, making him the third artist from Funk Volume to be included in their annual “who’s who†list. With Hopsin (Class of 2012) and Dizzy Wright (Class of 2013) both making the list in previous years, Funk Volume is now the the first and only label to have three artists featured as XXL freshman in three consecutive years. Dizzy Wright recently released two EP’s: his State of Mind EP and a 3-song EP, BrILLiant Youth, featuring 17-year old New York rapper Bishop Nehru, produced by Grammy-Award winning producer 9th Wonder. He is currently criss-crossing the country, headlining his State of Mind summer tour: several dates have sold out. Hopsin recently ended his head lining tour to support the release of Knock Madness and is gearing up to tour Europe in the fall.
