Hailo, a free smartphone app which makes it even easier for users to hire a taxi, is now in Sligo.
Available to download on iPhone or android devices, Hailo operates on a first come first served basis, pairing users with the nearest driver also using the system.
Taxi drivers in the town have praised the app for generating further business. There are also no additional charges for the service beyond the meter fare.
All first time Hailo users in Sligo are eligable for €15 off their first fare. Hailo taxis will be visably branded around Sligo from later this week.
