Microsoft to launch Office on iPad on March 27th : Techivian

Last year Microsoft released an Office app on iOS, although it wasn’t really what everyone had hoped for. The free app only worked on iPhone (and not iPad) and could only be used if the user had an Office 365 subscription. Well, the second part of the deal still stays there, but Microsoft will be bringing the same app to iPad on March 27th.

The app which will be the bigger screen version of the Office app for iPhone will allows to create new Excel and Word files on your iPad or view and edit spreadsheets, docs and Powerpoint files on Microsoft’s cloud services, or pinned to emails. Users cannot create new Powerpoint files however. The files created will be stored in the cloud and can be picked on any device.

The app will be free to download, just like its iPhone counterpart.
