We had 10 physical therapists from ONE join us for a 4-hr accredited course on suspension training.
Rebecca and MAC led the course and had a blast!

BEATING BELLY FAT

Consider these things as you assess your lifestyle and nutrition patterns:

1. Belly fat comes from a mix of caloric intake and hormones (primarily cortisol and insulin).

2. Eating less and exercising more is NOT the answer!

3. You can have a dramatic affect on your belly fat with cortisol and stress management.

Ways to combat
belly fat:

1. Exercise regularly.
2. Reduce stress. When your stress levels are elevated, so is your cortisol.
3. Minimize combinations of fat + starch + sugar.
4. Eat more protein and vegetables (high fiber). These food types will minimize insulin production, thereby reducing the tendency for insulin and cortisol to team up and increase belly fat.
5. Get enough sleep. This lowers cortisol as well.
6. Manage your carbohydrate intake. Eat nutrient dense carbs (high fiber/high complex carb content) vs. empty carbs (low fiber/high simple sugar content). This will also minimize cortisol increases.
