"Free in DC" Free and low-cost things to do in DC!: UPCOMING: HIGHLIGHTS: Tonight! Free events from Gravy - a local events app and website

Did you know? You can find lots more local events online on the new local events site, Gravy [1]  + if you have an iPhone or Android, I recommend downloading the free Gravy [2]  app!
Some cool things that make Gravy unique:
  • You can save events + select to save them saved directly on to your calendar on your iPhone!
  • You can search by what you are in the mood for! Whatever, Lively, Classy, Brainy; Playtime
  • You can also search by Currently Trending Events
  • Channels: My favorite channel of course is the Free & Discounted one! Others include Live Music, Happy Hours, Family Friendly, Around the Corner and more - connecting you with specific types of things going on around you. You can find the Channels in your MyStuff section.
The Gravy app is totally Free, which of course we all love, and you can download it here now! [3]

Select Free events found on Gravy listed below! Click "Learn More" on each post for more details!

The Generosity Path: Finding the Richness in Charitable Giving [4]
6:00pm - 7:15pm
The Center for Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, and Policy at GMU invites you to a Nonprofit Speaker Series event featuring Mark Ewert, professional philanthropy and leadership coach, and a consultant for nonprofits and religious communities. He'll talk about his new book, The Generosity Path. [5] Inspiring stories drawn from personal interviews enrich the discussion of how a practice of financial generosity develops, what its challenges are, and the deeper benefits people might expect from being more intentional with their giving. Whether you are a donor (at any level) interested in becoming a more strategic funder or a fundraiser seeking to understand what motivates people to give, The Generosity Path is an important and useful resource.
