6 free apps for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch including what is 'Gross' - Long Island ipad

Today's free apps for iPhone , iPad , and iPod Touch start with the free app for iPhone , “Gross”, which tells users it's time to get their butts off the couchâ€"as news about a new smartphone app that improves real-time communication between parents and children is announced, according to a Feb. 3 article in “The Times of India [1] ”.

“Gross” reminds you to be more active by letting you know how inactive you really areâ€"and when you do see this inactive time, you'll be shouting “Gross!”. This free app uses a clean, intuitive display that shows you how much of your day is spent walking, running or cruisingâ€"and how much isn't (labeled “Gross”). It also keeps track of your last seven days of movement so you can see which days were most active. This free app can be downloaded from the iPhone-only section of the App Store and uses the M7 co-processor found in iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini (G2).

“Gesundheit HD” (Reg. $2.99) is free today and running hot. This console-quality adventure puzzle game uses hand drawn visuals and vibrant animation to showcase what iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch can really do with imagination. In this free app, you help a little pig face off against wacky monstersâ€"but it's not as easy as it sounds!

Going up the download charts is “Pocket Avenger”, a free app game today with stunning visuals. Here, the foretold zombie apocalypse has come to pass and now your only chance of survival in a zombie infested world is to keep moving, while also keeping the remaining humans safe any way you can.

Trending popular today too is the app “Song2Email”, which is usually 99 cents but free today in a cool app deal. This now-free app lets you share songs by emailing these songs from your music library to anyone for free, over Wi-Fi or cellular. Recipients can listen to these songs on their computer, iPhone, iPad or iPod Touchâ€"wherever email can be received. What's more, multiple songs can be sent in the same emailâ€"which also includes artist names and cover art.

“Gross” by Forest Giant requires iOS 7.0+, is compatible with iPad Air, iPhone 5s and iPad mini (G2) to take advantage of the M7 motion chip.

“Hack Run” is rated 12+ for violence, horror, profanity, alcohol, tobacco or drug references and mature themes. This iPhone app, which is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, is optimized for iPhone 5 and also supports Game Center.

“Gesundheit HD” is rated 9+ for fantasy violence and supports Game Center. This free app requires iOS 3.2+ and is compatible with iPad. “Gesundheit” is the free iPhone version, which requires iOS 5.0+, is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Pocket Avenger” is rated 9+ for violence, suggestive themes and horror. This free app supports Game Center, requires iOS 6.0+, is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

“Song2Email” requires iOS 5.0+. This iPhone app, which is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, is optimized for iPhone 5.
