The 12 days after Christmas are getting festive with a new app from Apple.

From Dec. 26 to Jan. 6, the 12 Days of Gifts free app [1] will give users access to free songs, books, movies, apps, and more every day. You have 24 hours to download the gift before it’s replaced by a new one at midnight. I missed out on the Dec. 26 gift, which was reportedly [2] music and video from a Justin Timberlake performance in London.

My gift for today is the Tiny Thief adventure game app. I was also pointed toward two versions of the Angry Birds Star Wars app (the original was 99 cents, the newer version was free) and the Juice Cubes puzzle game.

Users can set up push notifications so they don’t miss a gift.

While it can be used on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, the app is only compatible with iOS 7 and later. This has drawn criticism from people who don’t want to update or buy a new device in order to use an app.

Google is also in the giving mood [3] , offering “Yeezus” by Kanye West and “The Bones of What You Believe” by Chvrches for free.
