Hoping to recreate the success Instagram has had doing a similar thing to still images, new app Spotliter Video allows users to add a range of different effects to videos shot using their iOS devices.
The free app was developed by Netomat, and offers âtouch effects and filtersâ to videos â" including the ability to magnify a portion of a scene, freeze part of a video, switch easily between front and back cameras while shooting, overlay one image over another, transition easily between color and black-and0white, and add a plethora of other effects.
âOur goal for Spotliter was to make a video camera app that offered powerful, sophisticated effects yet was very simple and intuitive to use,â Netomat CEO and cofounder Kris Ramanathann has noted.
âWe wanted the userâs first reaction to be, âYeah, this is how a touchscreen video camera should work.â It was also extremely important to us that the touch effects themselves were not only fun but truly useful in helping people tell their stories in their own particular ways.â
More video effects achieved using Spotliter can be seen below.
