Apple launches 12 days of apps

Apple has announced the company’s yearly 12 days of free iOS apps campaign. This will be the first year that the promotion is available in the U.S. In past years, Apple launched similar campaigns in Europe, Canada and Japan.

Apple’s 12 days of gifts promotion actually doesn’t suck.

Every year the campaign gives away free apps that, for the most part, actually don’t suck. The free apps often take the form of a free video, song, video game or app. Last year, at least in Canada, Apple gave away free copies of Score! Classic Goals, Broken Sword, Sonic Jump and episodes of TV shows like Sherlock and How I Met Your Mother.

The promotion begins on Dec. 26 and goes until Jan 6 and each app is free for 24 hours. By using the specific 12 days of gifts promotional app, you can easily see what new content Apple is giving away every day [1] .

It’s still unknown what apps Apple plans to give away this year though.
