All thanks to an App called as Slo Pro which allows users to shoot videos in slow motion which supports older devices as well like iPhone 5, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S etc. So letâs check out on how you can install and use it in the due course of this article.
Guide to Capture Slow Motion Videos on Older iDevices:
First up, download SloPro Application from Apple App Store in your device. Thankfully, this app is free. Though iPhone 5S can capture videos for as low as 120 frames per second, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C along with iPad Mini can shoot videos at 60 frames per second and iPhone 4S and iPad limits at 30 fps.
Once the app is opened, tap to start the video recording. If you want the extra light, tap on the flash icon which is there on the left top portion of the screen. And if you wish to choose to lock the exposure, tap on the settings option at the top right. By default, SloPro records in âSlower 40 percentâ mode, but you can actually adjust the speed via in-app editing.
SloPro also lets you to adjust the Playback speeds for all the videos which are there in your library. Head over to the Video Screen and tap on the Download button in the left corner of the screen from where you can choose the speed up or speed down or both.
From video screen, tap on any video and tap on âEditâ option. You may also choose to select 500 fps / 1000 fps after which tap on âRenderâ option for rendering the same and choose from 3 options which are Optical Flow, Frame Blend, and Ghost.
- Optical Flow â" Its recommended for two high speed fps options,
- Ghost Mode â" Its recommended if you wish to make use of trailing effect in the video,
- Frame Blend â" It reduces the jittery look which comes from video shot at 30 fps
Once you have edited / captured a brilliant moment, its now time for you to share with the help of facebook, Youtube, Viddy with the help of more options.
While there is a Free version available, thereâs a PRO version as well which lets you email the videos, save them to camera roll and export the raw 60 fps footage. The paid version also removes the SloPro watermark. The paid version costs $3.99.
