Earbits Brings Fast, Free, and Ad-Free Music Streaming to the iPhone

iOS: Earbits, the completely free (and ad-free) streaming music service, has been available on Android and on the web for a while now , but if an iPhone or iPad are your companions, now you can get in on the action too. The app just landed in the iTunes App Store, and it too is completely free.

The nice thing about Earbits is that the service is fast, offers up a wealth of artists you may not hear on other traditional streaming music services, and, like its Android counterpart, the app scans your music library for musicians and bands that you already like to build you blended stations of genres and artists you might enjoy. You can skip all that and just check out the editor's picks or choose a genre, but the beauty of Earbits is that you don't have toâ€"just sit back, hit play, and listen as great songs turn up. Don't like what you hear, skip it and go on to the nextâ€"it's not like you have to worry about too many skips, or running into ads.

As with any streaming service, you can favorite songs you want to return to later to buy or read more about, or connect directly with artists by following them on Twitter or Facebook, signing up for their mailing list, or share the song you like on Twitter or Facebook. If you do, you earn "groovies," the in-app currency that Earbits doles out to users. The more groovies you earn, the more you can listen to your favorites on-demand, for example.

If you already have an Earbits account, you can log in through the app, and if you're new to the service, you can sign up when you download it. Hit the links below to grab the app, or check out the service on the web before you sign up.
