New Delhi: A day after relaunching its
app for Android and iOS, BlackBerry says its cross-platform BBM app has been downloaded over 10 million times within 24 hours.BBM head Andrew Bocking, in a blog post, said that BBM topped the Apple App Store free app rankings chart in the first 24 hours - taking the number one slot in more than 75 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Indonesia and most of the Middle East. In the Google Play Store, BBM has earned 60,000 five-star reviews from about 87,000 reviews.

"We committed to delivering a BBM experience on iPhone and
that was equal to that on BlackBerry 10. That means bringing BBM Video, BBM Voice and BBM Channels to Android and iPhone customers too. My team is still committed to bringing those features to BBM on Android and iPhone in the near future," said Bocking.BBM topped the Apple App Store free app rankings chart in the first 24 hours - taking the number one slot in more than 75 countries.
BBM is available as a free download for Android smartphones running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (Android 4.x) and for iPhones running
