Now if your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad is jailbroken your music experience would definitely get better. Amnis is a new tweak available on Cydia that lets you download and stream music at no extra cost. Not only that, it also lets you import the downloaded music files to your Apple deviceâs library.
First and foremost you need to download the tweak, so go to Cydia and search Amnis. When you launch the app for the first time you will see a search bar at the top wherein the keyword needs to be entered. Type in the name of the song and hit search. The app looks for the song and populates a list. Now to stream or download a music file you need to tap on it and you will get two options: Play and Download. At the bottom you have three sections, the first one being the search page, the Downloads as second, and finally the settings page. If you Play a song right from the search page the app will stream it immediately, whereas if you tap on Download the download progress of the song can be seen under the Downloads section.
From the Downloads section you can play the song and even import it to the library by tapping on the finished download.
Under Settings you can change the download location of the music files, and even set the number of maximum concurrent downloads (the max number of files you can download simultaneously)
The app works great and I personally loved the interface. However, it is to be understood that you must not exit the application when a download is under progress or else it will be cancelled immediately. So when you are downloading a song, keep the application open.
