In a world where every big event is followed by a hashtag and every news story is retweeted around the world, finding exactly what you are looking for can be an arduous task on the Internet.
MAXHASH is a social networking filter that aggregates every tag from every social site around the web in one visually appealing stream⦠[1]
This app makes it easy for you to find out what others are saying about a topic you are interested in. Just type in the word or phrase youâd like to see more about and every hashtag from Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, Pinterest, and any other social networking site will appear. The tag feature an image relating to the word or phrase in question, plus a link to the URL from where it was found.
For example, type in âiOS 7â³ into the search bar to see what the social networking world is saying about it. Find a picture you like and tap it. Then, if you want to find out more about the post, who wrote it, what site it came from, etc., tap the arrow in the upper right corner of the screen to view your options menu.
After tapping the image and opening the menu, you can send a link to the media post through SMS or email, repost it to Twitter and Facebook, save it to your camera roll, or go directly to the postâs URL through Safari.
You can also send a link to the hash tag you were searching through all of the above-mentioned channels. So, if you want to let your Facebook friends see what the social media world is saying about Grand Theft Auto V, send your MAXHASH results to them through Facebook or Twitter.
All of your searches will be saved unless you want to remove them. To do so, tap the search bar and then swipe your finger across the search you want to delete. When the dash (-) appears, tap it and the word or phrase will be removed from your search. This may not seem like an important feature, but when you are doing searches for your own name, it can be a little embarrassing for someone else to see it.
MAXHASH [2] is available for free. Download it in the App Store today.
